Black Birth Equity Fund Grant by Jamie Cooley

Dove Soap, owned by Unilever based in London, has partnered with Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) and Black Doulas to help close the maternal care gap.

My pregnant mamas gone head and apply for this grant. I feel this is a great opportunity to spark the vibration and the momentum for more currency and ideas to fuel the restoration of our rights to having healthy-birthing environments. Whether birthing at home or the hospital, the goal is to have that doula there to set the tone for creating a safe space that provide high-vibrational care, support and love to produce a healthy birthing delivery.

Black women have cultivated the art of birth work since the dawn of humanity, and it is imperative that  resources like these are available to every Black pregnant mama, to save lives and our birth science traditions.

Their fund is organized to give hundreds of Black expectant mothers access to lifesaving support through doula services. They’ve pledge $250,000 USD for grants to be given immediately.
